PHONETIC SYMBOLS FOR CANTONESE
==============================

The chart below gives the phonetic symbols for all the sounds of Cantonese. Each line shows an illustrative word for the sound, followed by its IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet) symbol and its Sampa symbol. Sampa is designed for easy keyboard typing. Note that it uses numbers as well as letters, and that capital letters mean something different from small letters.
